After gaining 15 years experience in accountancy and taxation, Paul began as a sole practitioner of accountancy and taxation services in 1997. Paul saw the need for an accountancy service that could provide quality accountancy and taxation services with personal service at cost effective rates. After a successful beginning Paul incorporated de Lacey & Associates Limited in 2000. de Lacey & Associates Limited now includes Paul, a staff of three qualified or experienced Accountants, and an office administrator.
Paul de Lacey
Paul has over 30 years experience in accountancy and taxation matters having gained experience with a “big four” accountancy firm both in New Zealand, Hong Kong and United Kingdom.
Paul has a particular interest in structuring client’s affairs with related Estate planning and taxation issues.
Paul is a Chartered Accountant with a Public Practicing Certificate and has a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University.
Interests outside the Practice include boating & fishing, travel and spending time with his wife Nancy and two sons.

Karen Lowry
Karen joined de Lacey & Associates Ltd in 2003 after taking time out of the workforce to raise two sons. She previously worked for a “big four” Chartered Accountancy practice in their Mt Maunganui and Hamilton offices, and then time in London undertaking contract work whilst travelling. Karen returned to New Zealand in 1992.
Karen has a Bachelor of Management Studies degree from Waikato University.

Karen Matthews
Karen has a B.Com degree from Auckland University and subsequently worked for Inland Revenue in their investigation unit.
After leaving New Zealand to travel overseas, Karen worked for Chartered Accountancy firms in London and Bermuda before returning to Auckland and rejoining a large Chartered Accountancy practice.
After nearly a 10 year break to have three daughters, Karen returned to the workforce part-time in 2001 with de Lacey & Associates Ltd. Karen works for a variety of clients and is responsible for preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax returns.
Karen enjoys spending time with friends & family, and can be spotted early most mornings either running or cycling to keep fit.

Sri Suganda
Sri joined de Lacey & Associates Ltd in 2011 and had a career break from 2016 to late 2017 before rejoining the firm.
Sri is a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to moving to New Zealand Sri worked for “big four” accountancy firms in Indonesia as well as undertaking in -house accountancy roles.
Sri enjoys spending time with family and friends including walking and tramping.

Minaxi Sharma
Minaxi joined the firm in April 2022 and has worked in small to mid tier accountancy practices in New Zealand over the past 30 years, taking time out to raise two sons.
Minaxi is a full member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
During her free time Minaxi enjoys spending time with family and friends and sailing with the family.
